For my previous 2 releases, I got a lot of “input” on the seeming loop-reliant structure. This track was, in some ways, my way of liberating myself from the expectation to always do something new and exciting at every turn with my music. Look, I’m a House & Techno fan. A little bit of repetition never killed anyone, and it’s even something some people enjoy.
So enjoy the damn loop-i-ness of this track. Revel in it. Enjoy every subtle change as each loop comes back around, evolving subtly every time.
This song was written, performed, and recorded within an afternoon (or was it a morning). That might sound like a boast, but truly I intend it to attest to the importance I put on performance and simply enjoying my music for myself. At every turn and with every new synth, everything I laid down was hot fire. Trusting my gut is the best thing for the track.

Forced Femme is my latest obsession. Raw lyrics drenched in that classic kickass hate-fucking punk sound that I LIVE for. This is the perfect soundtrack for my frequent broken heart hardened over with undiluted
queer rage and just a dash of romanticism that you will never get me to admit outloud Tiberius King

if someone asks me for my favourite or any 80s disco track I still replay in my head again and again, I'll have to clarify why I'd make an exception for Spectrum. absolute bomb with such honest and raw emotion, it just makes me bawl. <3 neuroticcanary
